If memory serves me correctly, it's a micro-DB connector (also called a
50HD), used in wide scsi applications. It is a 16-bit-wide bus, rather than
8-bit used on your scanner.

You can:
1 - use a 50HD to DB25 adapter. Good luck finding one.
2 - use a SCSI cable with a Centronics-style connector on one end, 50HD on
the other.
3 - replace the SCSI card with a cheap clone of an Adaptec.

I was going to suggest you consider #3, since those cards were about $15,
and cables were usually more expensive. But when I searched for the cards,
they were rare and more expensive. I did find a cable that seems reasonable
(<$20). So my vote goes to buying a

I searched for "scsi 50hd centronics" to find the above. They also have
longer cables.

Subject: [SLUG] SCSI adapter?

I have a SCSI card, which lspci says is an "Adaptec AHA-2940U/UW/D /
AIC-7881U (rev 01)". It uses aic-7xxx.o . Its external port has 50(?
68?) contacts. I don't know what it's called, but it's short and wide, and
it looks like a mating plug is held into it by hooks, a pair on each end.
(Never used it, not sure.) I also have a Microtek Scanmaker II, which has a
Centronics 50 on it, which usually connects to the host through a cable
whose other end is a DB-25. Those cables are easy to find; I have several.

How would I connect this scanner to my computer?
