Actually, although I've switched to Debian (as it's better for my purposes). one thing I really admire about SuSE is it's partition managing. It gives you a visual resizer and honestly does a really awesome job. If you can just pop in the SuSE disc, get to the point where you resize it, then save and shutdown you should have no problem installing a clean version of Knoppix on the empty partition.
