The problem is that Novell Suse is being overly cautious or lazy
on updating their packages.
Distros don't just put out updates as they come from the developers.
They have to check compatibility and update dependencies.
The trouble is that anything less than firefox 1.0.4 is insecure.
Even XANDROS 2.0 has provided the 1.0.4 version.
I have tried to update various packages as DEBS or RPMS from
the originators rather than the distro and had some of them work
OK and others not all.
