I have a few Linux specific customers throughout Florida, but most are a mix of Unix
and Linux. In Tampa I have two small customers with primarily Windows, but Linux for
the web services. As a suggestion, have you tried casting a wider net? I've gotten
some headhunter requests in Tampa for Unix *and Linux*, but except for a development
gig in Jax that needed specific Linux low-level development experience, it's usually
a nice-to-have secondary skill. So advertise as a Unix admin who also does Linux and
you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. Also, database and security is very hot
right now. My last four contracts were either DB or security related.
