Yes, I've used SLAX and I love it. It's a great LiveCD but don't
install it to
your hard drive. It's not that polished to use as a hard-drive distro. My
favorite LiveCD boot option is "slax copy2ram" which copies the entire OS to
your RAM and speeds it up TREMENDOUSLY. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

On my Slackware website (http://www.slackaddict.com) I interviewed the founder
of SLAX - Tomas M. It's a short read and the guy was really down to earth.
