Here is where I am with this one, i putz'd around with this thing trying the
different things, Saturday I had to use the machine on a wired connection
rather than wireless (the norm at home and work) With the ethernet connected
Firefox comes up on line, it is only when it is a wireless connection, I have
always brought up the connection FIRST, but firefox always comes up off
line if the connection is wireless, it appears that it is not getting a signal
indicating it is on line that is all I can figure out. I would guess that the
mechanisim that detects the physical connection does not work on a wireless
connection, this is the case with both the home desktop (it is wireless too)
and the laptop.
