Pete

A. Are you having the same problems on the windows side or is just on the
linux side.

B. Have you updated its PRL (database of towers/ roaming agreements) You
can do by getting your card via the windows software to dial *228

C. What is your signal on the evdo line. They might be having problems
where you are trying to use it. if your signal is weak which it can be
depending on which towers it pulling it off from. It should drop down to
CDMA 2000 1x which is apporx 144kbps.

Just a recap of CDMA Data
( in terms of max throughput)
QNC - 14.4 KBPS
CDMA 2000 1x
CDMA 2000 EVDO (shortened to just EVDO) 2.0 Mbps 150 - 500 ms latceny
CDMA 2000 EVDO Rev A 3.0 mbps burstable 50 to 100 ms latceny.

Verizon is mostly Rev A as very few did early adoption of the orginal EVDO
standard. Still around most of SRQ I am only get 1x and not EVDO and I
have not had problems it beeing realible.
