   Unless you use the usenet much (the "news groups") Verizon throttles
them back to just over slow DSL speeds, Brighthouse allows me 3 connections
at my full speed and the retention is now over a month on binaries.

   At work I share a T-1 connection with several hundreds of fellow
workers, it really sucks when someone downloads something big it can
take me over a minute to get the google splash page once and a while.
(it sucks more when the exchange server is unreachable)
