I disagree with this. I *hate* layouts where the content is a thin,
toiletpaperesque strip running down the center of the browser window.
I complained several years ago when Newsforge went to that type of
layout (after a lot of complaints, they moved to a variable-width
layout again). Additionally, in this case, the sidebars seem to be
large enough that the line length of the central content doesn't get
very long - looks like about 15 words on average (FF2, 1600x1200 res,
12pt minimum fontsize).
