My girlfriend has the same camera and a couple of others. She's using a
Debian Sarge box I set up for her, a couple of years ago. Her cameras
all store images on an SD card and then she fetches everything from the
SD card reader via a USB mount that automagically appears on her desktop
when she turns on the SD card reader.

So it is usuable, but if you prefer a different camera, by all means use
it. I'm no photographer, so I don't know anything about the image
quality, in regard to the VQ-7015. When she gets home, I'll make
further inquiries.
