There is a website that is designed to help people learn how to efficiently convey their technical issues to others. It was pointed to in a thread I read last summer. One of the tips was to have another person read your intended post before you post it.

"5 different laptops" designates a definitive quantity.
Are the laptops from the same OEM?
Do the laptops bear the same model #?
Do the hard drive OEM/model #s match?

If you are talking "low level" formatting hard drives and "flashing BIOS" you risking loss of access to the mainboards and/or hard drives.

Creating and using "1" CD with that much power, (and variety) in confusion would scare off a lot of would be helpers.

I suggest you bring all the hardware with you to the next meeting.
