You can't tell clients what to do. Photoshop and AutoCAD users can't use
Linux.

Oh Scott, not you too? A product is evil? Sorry, a product can't be evil.
A person can.
Linux, Mac and Windows all have security holes and all can be compromised.
Compaired to BSD, all three are like swiss cheese. Bashing Windows makes
Linux fans look like nuts and hurts the cause. I have run many differnet
operating systems and all can be used safely if properly configured.
Windows is full of problems, but anyone that thinks Linux is a magic bullet
is due for a surprise. All systems need proper configureation and
management if you want to be "internet safe".
This is a Linux advocacy mail list, not an anti-Microsoft mail list. Those
are quite different things. Can we stick to Pro-Linux activities and stop
the useless bashing?

Hi Scott,
Now WHAT does THAT tell you? If you find nothing there very well might
be NOTHING! Tell the client, don't use Window$ on the outside Internet.
Everything that ventures outside of the office should be Linux. Unless
they are rich. Then they can try mac, if they like.
That said, you could arrange to have it scanned first by setting up a
Linux firewall/Internet server that did everything you wanted done to
all the packets before it let them out to the rest of the office. All
traffic to or from the outside world through this physical box.

That way, the Window$ junkies would never see Linux, yet everything they
saw would be sanitized. Of course, then the boss couldn't hole up and
watch p*rn. I think these are called Linux gateway servers or something
like that.
