No, I use scsi.i the 2.4.5 crashes were three kinds: frequent,
often (3 to 4 times a day) and severe. 7 passes of fsck@20+ minutes
each!
(no load, just me cursoring down a directory in mc)
(for instance) (2.2.19 unloads 120 kB) (I boot IDE, have a scsi
CD-RW.)
