Everything on that computer is supported fully, no question. The RAM check is
where I'd start. I had similar problems a while ago in that my computer would
boot, but only if it were totally cold. A 'shutdown -r now' yielded an
unbootable box. A friend gave me 2 256M ECC SDRAM sticks, and now all is
well. It was the memory, after all.

On a totally unrelated note:
The slockets came. They're both defective !!! If you lock the ZIF sockets
down, the pinholes completely close over the contacts and slide over the
edges of the undercarriage - enough that if I were to close them with a
processor in them, they would *shear off the pins*. Still looking for a
source for good FCPGA slockets -- *sigh*. Brand name slockets are almost
impossible to find now. A real shame 'cuz these are very solid, cleanly made
parts.
