I create my own homepage using cron, webfetch, wget and some simple scripting:

http://www.linuxwidows.com/mirror/bucket/ultra-tiny-HOWTOs/dynamic_home_page

I'm currently grabbing User Friendly, Dilbert, doppler and satellite weather
images, along with headlines from the Orlando Sentinel, Slashdot, LinuxToday,
SolarisCentral, @stake security news, LinuxSecurity, and The Register.

Enjoy!
