If everyone felt that way the distros would go out of business.
I buy a new 4 disk set of Slackware every other year. I might get
the ios image or whatever for 8.1 this year to get the latest of
a few things, then I will pay for 8.2 or 9.0 or whatever next year
about this time. ($45 + S & H each time)
I have little riches, but compared to what winblows users spend
I can scrape it up.
