It is unfortunate that a communistic operating system like ms windows will
destroy the workings of another when it is let in the front door, but that is
not bug, it is a feature. This just demonstrates that ms windows is viral in
nature and contaminates everything it contacts.
Load ms windows first, then another next to it. Always.
Did he do any backup? If so he could just copy back to /boot. Then mk_initrd
and reboot. You would have to boot from a cd, of course to get in there.
