People don't like uncertainty, and without a doubt, some of the mud from this
lawsuit will stick to Linux for a period of time.
The best thing that could happen is there will be such a backlash from SCO
customers, developers, sales channels, plus everyone else that their stock

I don't think microsoft can get SCO (unless they do it through a shell
company) as I vauguely remember something, years ago, that they legally
agreed to keep out of the Unix market in another lawsuit they lost.

Anything over 20-years old (patent law) is free.
