Mozilla might not 'see' the linked folder, perhaps...
The kind of link you're talking about, (which is called symbolic link),
is a special type of file, so mozilla might be only looking for
directories, not links to directories...
Symbolic links are weird, by the way. They're nice, but they're also
very weird.
