    Not meaning to get off the subject, but what did you think of
Xandros? I have never had the opportunity to try that one and am curious
as to whether I should give it a try on my laptop. Knoppix worked very
well for me, but there are just too many packages that I don't need
eating up space. And removing the excess packages started creating
dependency problems. I dual boot the laptop (no Linux support for the
fax-modem so Windows is a necessary evil for that), so I only have about
2 gigs for a Linux partition. Since Knoppix weighs in at 1.8 gigs, you
see the problem with the excess baggage that it has.
