Thank you, Bill, once again! The Via C3 800 in my machines runs
noticeably faster than a 500MH Celeron for single-task and
multi-tasking, and runs noticeably slower than a 933MH Pentium 3.
Currently, that very processor in question is happily humming away in my
son's computer as he plays Super-Tux and Frozen Bubble. Unfortunately,
I have no experience whatsoever with AMD processors, but I understand
that they are quite compotent, if not hot-running. Much like a British
sports car, I understand that they perform really well for their size,
but have a tendancy to overheat if not maintained properly. (I'm sorry,
guys, I suppose everything is cars to me.)
