[SLUG] Will not boot from CD

Folks;
I have noticed a irritating thing with some Toshiba laptops, the things
will not boot from a linux CD. I am trying to load RH 7.3 on a Toshiba
Portege 7010CT, I can still a XP or 2K boot CD in there and the silly
thing will see it and boot right up, but if I stick a LINUX cd in there
no joy. Has anyone seen this behavior with these machines, I have also
noticed it with the Tecras and some other Toshiba laptops.

If I have to I will create a boot disk and do it that way but I would
like to walk about it, by way I have checked the bios and it does check
the CD before the HD, and in fact I know since I have stuck other bootable
CD's in the machine (XP, 2K and 98) and watched it find them and boot
on them.

I have to use RH (that is what the company gave me) and I have to use
either a tecra or a portege, (also company machines)

Any ideas beyond doing the install with a boot disk?
