Hi guys,
Thanks to everyone on this list for their moral and knowledgable
support. I am finaly able to install and configure rest of required hardware
on this box. I think the list can pat their back now...)
Just kidding i know this is a really small for the experience
and skill this list posses.Thanks again i really apreciate your help
and patience.
Now a small problem. It is really a nagging as far as i can but
still a interesting problem. If i use 'shutdown -r' to reboot
the pc my compaq monitor says 212 post failed on cpu 2. And as per
their manual it is abd but the diagnostic check by their software
turns up nothing. And after renabling the cpu it boots up fine.
But if use 'shutdown -h' and use pwercycle to reboot the box there
is no problem. As a intersting sideline i swapped the cpu's it still
says cpu 2 failed. Should not it say that cpu 1 failed. Or there
is no 1/2 concept on SMP motherboards.
