Ok, what I get is a whole screen full of stuff, but I think the
important things are these:

=================================
(EE)GARTInit: AGPIOC_INFO failed (invalid argument)

(EE)I810(0): AGP GART support is not available. Make sure your
kernal has agpgart support or that the agpgart kernel module is
loaded.

(EE)Screen(s) found, but none have usable configuration

Fatal server error
no screens found
==========================
Now, I must admit that this is one of the many things that I
have seen before, in my hours of screwing around. I don't know
squat about video stuff, not being a gamer, but I recognized the
terms AGP and 810 (these machines have the Intel 810 chip).

I even went to RedHat and Intel to see if there was some info.
Maybe there was, but I didn't find it (or didn't understand it).

In the end, I figured (using common sense...?):

a) I'm using RH8 (the latest RH) on very common (Compaq)
machines that are at least a couple of years old.
b) the two machines are EXACT carbon copies, both hardware and
software, and everything works PERFECTLY on each one
individually. So why would an X server run on one, and not on
the other??????

Btw, the resolution on both of them is set to 800x600, if it
matters.

Any clues? (also, notice that with help from Kwan (in other
thread), I proved that one machine doesn't mind talking to the
other). Perhaps my problems all have revolved around the fact
that I'm trying to run two X Server displays...?

John
